They could post it. The stuff in bunnings may work but it would probably be pretty crappy.

Ring 3M and ask for your nearest stockist.

Might be a bit to far for me to go just to get some tape.
Do bunnings sell this type of tape? Even though my nearest is 1.5hrs away.

Bunnings when I looked only had single directional. The packaging supplies places like Promark are the best bet in Brisbane and are around $7.50 a roll whereas the hobby shops are $12 for the same brand. Promark also sells coloured tape and 3M spray adhesives too. There are some good online packaging and tape suppliers. Also you can buy different widths, eg the 25mm is good for strips for hingeing. I've been getting a different brand but there may be advantages in hunting down 3M bi-di tape, as one of our guys has been using it and it doesn't seem to get broken down rapidly by UV light like the other brands do.

Thanks for the input guys.
After a bit of searching round I found THIS tape on the 3M site.
It's Scotch® Bi-Directional Filament Tape 8959.
Available in 19, 25, 50 and 75 mm. Typical tensile strengths of 150 lb/inch longitudinal and 50 lb/inch width in cross direction. Long aging.
Looks like it would be top notch.
I found that Blackwoods can get in any 3m stuff and the 50mmx50m size 8959 tape is about $16.
They seem to have a few shops about, I have one 10 minutes away.
Going there on my lunch break today to check it out.
They also stock 3m77 spray.
Thanks again for the help.
Cheers.

Officeworks sells the 3M M77 Multi Purpose spray too
Around $21/can (big one) Make sure it's the right one, apparently they have changed their make up and one of them is not EPP/Styro safe - The right one has a green and black can.

For those in Perth .....
MY mates bought a shitload (35 sheets) of 6mm depron from http://www.radiantfloorheating.com.au/ and got it for about $5.50 a sheet as compared to $15 for a single sheet . These are the large sheets that are bigger than the ones that they are able to post , although the big sheets only come in grey .Make sure you ring them before driving all the way to Joodalup though as their not always there .
I got some plans printed at Total Digital Solutions in Burswood for $3.16 each . They were over A0 size which is the maximum Oficeworks will print to . They were scaled spot on and great quality .
The cheapest place for carbon fibre I,ve found is www.nitrodude.com.au . Their postage is very reasonable I thought and worked out at about half the price of buying it locally after postage . They have a great range of flat , rod , tube and square tube .
If you need those micro crystals for corona servo's these guys are reliable from my experience http://www.rchobbyboy.com/store/come...?idCategory=31
And lastly but certainly not least prety much everything else from www.hobbycity.com . Beware it can become an addiction
Does anyone know where I can get EPP from locally in Perth ?

Edit : An alternative to the 3M contact spray from officeworks is the "Selley's Quik Grip Waterbased " contact adhesive from bunnings . It comes in a 500ml tub and looks like white paint . Little less messy IMHO as you can paint it on with a paintbrush and just rinse the paint brush out in water . Takes a little longer to go sticky but works great for laminating balsa or foam to foam and no worries with overspray . Unfortunately it's no cheaper than the 3m product @ $22 . The 3M stuff is the go for sticking cut out plans to foam though for sure .

Radiant floor heating and Depron Australia are the same people.
Dave and Richard are great guys if you want 'genuine' Depron. (even though technicaly we sell competition products)

Re: Radiant Floor Heating, is it possible a New South Welsehman could make contact with the Sydney showroom and somewhat obtain the Depron through them, hopefully without the postage/freight cost?

We can remove Graham Allen from the Depron supply list.

I PMed with him (salto) yesterday and he has closed his Manufacturing Business and no longer stocks depron.

I've called Sydney Floor Heating (Radiant Floor Heating in Sydney) multiple times today and no one answered the phone.

Depron in Brisbane
Picked up a bunch of sheets of 6mm Depron (white stuff, close to Fanfold apparently) to make some dodgey wings haha

Sheet size - 6mm - 1000 x 700
Price - $8.00/Sheet
Location - Mansfield, Brisbane
Website - www.desertaircraft.com.au
Payment types - Cash,EFT,Credit that I saw anyhoo

Although I was only there to pickup bugger all worth of material - customer service was great.

I'll be back - when I plow these into the ground
