Help with GP cessna 182. Stuck with build....

Hey guys, hoping you can help me out. Its a stupid question, but I just dont understand what the manual is trying to tell me. I dont understand how the make the nose gear, and throttle control rods. Its saying something about a 6" threaded rod, and a 1" threaded rod. Cant I just hook up the rods like the elevator and rudder are hooked up. With just a clevis on the front end, and a 90 degree bend into the servo arm on the other. I know stupid question. But could you shed some light on this step for me? Thanks.

there is a plastic rod that you screw the 6" and 1" threaded rod into. That assembly then goes thru another outer plastic tube that you have to install.
It uses a quick link on one end (with a setscrew for adjustment).
The engine side uses a plastic clevis that hooks to the engine throttle.

It is a pretty good setup and allows you to kinda bend them a bit to clear components like the fuel cell
