Hi all,
I am looking for some input. I would like to know what you think of the Parkzone P-51 and Spitfire. I would like to get one of each but am holding out for the T-28, so only one will be purchased. So, between the two, which do you prefer and why?

Are you buying me one? The only thing that matters is which one you like better.

I have the SPit... awesome plane...

heres the differences

Spit pluses over the P-51:

1) solid foam wing
2) 3s lipo compatable
3) VERY STABLE
4) 72mhz radio system

some are stock set up...others with a EFlite 480 outrunner....

everything Atis listed are the main points, its just overall, better. More stable, glides Much better and uses 72mhz radio.

the spit is the best option...has a better radio and flies better also! but they are all good planes for the money

Spits are nice, but there's something about a P51 in flight that's just awesome.

(3. it doesn't have that silly brittish bulls eye pinted on the wings... Really now, what military genius thought it was a good idea tyo paint a target on their own plane?

Seriously, the spit is the 3rd warbird from PZ, and its 2 evolutionary jumps ahead of the Mustang, but the Mustang is still a fun plane, and a good plane for the price. The Mustang's electronics are Lipo compatable and the instruction book shows you which jumper to move on the controll board to set it for 3s Lipo*, but the plane was balanced for Nimh, so using one would involve some effort.

If you haven't flown a warbird before, Spits are easier to fly. Stangs have a bad habbit of tip stalling, and the PZ Stang does too, but not too bad. The Spit with it's tapered wing is almost immune to tip stalls. If you've had some experiance with Warbirds, then its realy a matter of prefreance.


*(3 jumpers on the controllar board, one does V tail mixing, the second does some elevator mix with the rudder, and the third sets the voltage cut off at 9V for Lipos)

yeap... and 3s compatible!!! It won the Battle of Britian.... and if you want a Mustang wait till you get better and buy an Alfa P-51... the detail is better and it flys great... but is VERY FRAGILE so go with the Spit for now...

And for just alittle more interest, how about the FW 190?

Mine did not come with a 72 MHz radio but it has one now !

Nope, that was the Hurricane that did that. 51% of all of the aircraft shot down in the Battle of Britain were shot down by Hurricanes.. the other 49% is divided by all other aircraft used. Still, there is something graceful about the spit that the mustang doesn't posses...

I have flown both, I have the Spitfire, and my mate has a Spitfire and a Mustang. The Mustang is a very nice flyer, but the Spitfire is indeed a bit more stable, although I prefer the Mustang myself.

They are called roundels. They aren't targets. They are signs of nationality, all military aircraft have them

That is another nice plane. I have had mine ever since it was released last year. It Is a great plane (my avatar pic) and is very stable. But... The Spit has some very good advantages over the other war birds. I changed my FW over to 72mhz and had to change out the servos because they are 5 wire, but the Spit has 3 wire servos with is good, Metal gears, and the 72mhz radio is a big plus because you will not get radio interference for a little kid driving his little Tyco rc car a block away. You would still be happy with any of the war birds, but like all forms of technology, it is always changing to 'better products, that is what teh Spit is, the 07' version the PZ warbirds.
