Servos for Trex 450

I know HS-65 is the best for Trex. Are there any other cheaper options with similar torque? What servo would you suggest for Logitech 2100 besides 9650 and 3154?

I have 2 450X's one with HS 65 one with HS 55 to date both have had 150+ flights and NO problems re servo's.
I have 55's on a SJM400 (Tabatar) and a Hummingbird 3D.
And 55's on many fixed wing aircraft never had a problem.
In uk 65's 15 each, 55's 7 .

if you wanna do it on the cheap ive had good luck with countless HS55's
the HS56 is a good tail servo as well.used these on my last shogun and had hundreds of flights on it before needing servo gear replacement.
the hs55 hes a bit less torque though then a 65.a good comprimise would be to do Hs-56 all around.

I'm sure the servos mentioned are fine if you do not crash a lot. I do. After countless crashes, and an equal number of gear changes on HS56HB, I got very proficent in changing . Since converting to HS65MG,I still crash a lot, but have not had a single servo fail. In the long run, much cheaper, so it depends on your flying ability.

Well, I'm using Belt CP with HS-55 and Esky 9g servos and they are ok for general use but they have so much slop and I don't like that. I can rotate the servo about 2mm-3mm. Is there any other alternatives besides hs65 and zero servo slop?

I'm not farmilliar with Belt CP, but for a Trex, second choice after HS65MG would be HS56HB. You will see a HUGE improvment over setup you now use.

here are some digital servos which should work fine except crashes http://vampowerpro.com/
$17 a piece can't beat that.

Do they have slop? I found these servos a while ago but couldn't find a single review on it. My only concern about servos slop.

There is always the option of buying the Hs-65HB's with karbonite gears and then upgrading to metal gears later on.

I started with four Towerpro 9g servos for my Trex 450SE, after about 20+ flights doing FFF, aeros and loops. Seems like the 9g servo holds up very well. One day, my tail belt broke in mid air, I repair after the crash and replaced all the cyclic servos with HS65hb. I'm doing flip flops and inverted flights now, I can not tell the difference in control by using HS65hb.

ok guys I just bought 3 HS-65 for $63 shipped brand new spanking. Now I just need a new tail servo. I've been thinking Futaba S9257 or Futaba S3154?
