Steve,

if you can get a larger tooth count main gear in there (150 - 180) I'll buy two of them..one SE and one SA...No joke...

Kenneth, I know you don't have the hdx500 but you have a lot of good analysis...which is very good for making decisions. Thanks. Will PM you for that spreadsheet.

BTW, NICE KIT!!! Just got the SA. It is impressive so far.
WTG Bob !! I havent been disappointed yet and the build is coming along pretty well.

Didnt use the washers Steve. The screws are black 1mm in length hex head. What size is the head ? I used the black allen wrench. I didnt have any problems with the servo bolts...it was the way the servo elevator servo is mounted (shaft pointed inward).

If the anti-rotation bracket is in front...it's the SAS frame ? I indicated several times that I intended to use Hitec servos....Sean understood this. I have no problem if it's the wrong frame..other than the tail servo mount location is to large for the HS-81. Are there any boom servo clamps available ?

Depending upon what performance you are after, looks like 22t to 24t is the range to consider. If you are a 3D pilot then I suggest you start with the 24t and see how it goes.
In all the confusion.....I cant remember which is which any more ! The Z3025-8T is 987kv....and I think that's the one I want Gonna try a Revo 21T for starters.

Yes, yellow canopy. Not bad but a bit thick...and screams for a paint job.
Got the SAH and it's all together waiting for electronics to arrive.
Again, very nice heli...good work.

Thx Bob !!

Think we'll both be in the same pen then...so to speak I'm a guinea pig according to my helicrack dealer !! I didnt pay enough attention to recommended servo for the tail and it cost me (1 HS-81 if any one is interested), so gotta look for the right one !

Dave,

The frame design for tail servos is that the right side frame can accomodate the S9650 servos and the left side frame can accommodate full size servos such as logictech 6100

They cannot work on those HS81servos.

The tail servo mount not yet available. I will check with them. Anyone else interested in mounting the tail servo on the boom?

Steve
