Dave - That picture of the anti-rotation looks all wrong to me. Surely the ball should be on the outside of the pin so that you can put a link on it going down the the servo ? That is: Bolt->ball->pin->swash

The prob was--2 servos in front of the swash--one behind. No way to connect a linkage from anti-rotate pin/ball to front servos...savy ? I'm confident with the current arrangement and it'll be apparent when I get the servos installed and linkages connected.

Oh I see, so initially you were using the wrong arm on the swash for the antitrotation pin and the swash had to be rotated 180deg. Now I see it in the photos, thanks.

Looking for the hdx500 850jv...no luck yet

Looking at the specs from HD the 850 motor is a 4S-6S input plant. Would 2 3S in parallel be too low voltage for operation?

Depends what headspeed and overall performance you want. For learning/cruising 3s with a 24t pinion will give you around 2200rpm which should be OK although the motor will be fairly heavily loaded. For 3D then no, you will need 4s or 5s to get the performance out of an 850kv motor or else stick to 3s but change to a motor something over 1000kv like perhaps a Hacker A30-8XL (37mm, 177g, 1100kv = ~21-23t), AXI 2826/8 (35mm, 181g, 1130kv = ~21-23t) or a Z20 (43mm, 210g, 1470kv = ~18t)

Yes Steve...I think so...so far. The HS-85's fit, so no problem there.
I did notice that the tail fin (vertical) is kinda flimsy...will there be a g-10 fin ? Also...any idea on when the HDX500 850KV will be available ?

Ok I was wondering about lugging the motor, so until I replace some of my 3S packs to 4S, I will run 2 2100s in series for 6S.

AFAIK the smallest pinion you can get is an 18t Lepton pinion from RevCo. For an 850kv motor on 6s that will put you in the range of about 2500-3800 rpm depending on throttle setting. I wouldn't go below 85% throttle or you are likely to get excessive heating of the stock ESC and the motor. At 85% you should get around 2700-3300rpm on 6s/18t. You will also need to make sure that your BEC is rated for 6s, most of the cheaper switched-mode BECs are only rated to 5s. A SportBec ( http://www.dimensionengineering.com/SportBEC.htm ) will be OK, or if you prefer there is a 3.5A HV BEC from Medusa Research or a 5A Hercules BEC from Western-Robotics.

Yeah my phoenix 60 has the beef for the battery side and motor side of things.
I do have the SportBEC installed and also have the 18t RevCo.

I wanted to get the Hacker motor but I forgot about it when I ordered the heli. Oh well maybe someday when I get tried of the HDX motor.

this is Another version of the frame ! one the antoritation is in the front and olher is in the rear ! I prefer the Helidirect version antirotacion on the back with the elevator servo like thr t-rex SE

Just quick update ! HS-85s are installed Had a little issue with the rear one as it's installed 'backwards', I had to trim the little supports off the mounting ears. They caused the bolts to lay over and I was concerned about the servo coming loose...not a good thing Also...the HS-81 will not fit in the frame (opening is too large), so I'll get some cnc servo mounts for the tail boom.
Leaning towards the Hacker A30-8XL per kgflys experience ! THX man !
