I have mode 1, speed on right side. Is that correct for me? I'm from Norway.

Just got my indestructible skids and put them on. They are PERFECT in every way. I really wish I didn't pay $20 total for them. It was a total rip-off. Oh, well, they really are nice and I got them in White!

Check them out:

flybar weights

Another day of tweaking to cure tbe and this is what i found;
first i mounted heli padels from a shogun/ zoom 400 instead of the weights on the flybar.
Result ; worse tbe.
That got me thinking so if heavier makes it worse what about lighter?
So unscrewed the plastick wing part only leaving the metal bit wich is about half the weight of the stock weights.
And now my heli flies a lot more stable then with the stock weights.
This is still using stock blades mounting extreme blades i stil have tbe.

update; i have replaced the paddle weights with wheel collars wich are i guess 1/3 less weight then the paddel weights and the lama is still stable.
When you try this you have to keep in might that becouse of less air resistance of the top rotor (the wheel collars are about 1/5 size of the stock weights)
You need to adjust the gain on your 4 in 1 becouse the top head motor has less air resistance to overcome and the rpm goes up resulting in the tail turning in flight.
It will not be too mutch ; do a test flight and you see.

In theory this mod since it reduces weight a bit AND less work for the top motor it should result in longer flight times.
I ave not timed a bevore / after so i don't know for shure yet.

In mainland europe most people fly mode one (trottle on right) why don;t you look up your local model flying club and ask them?

I think that is very correct for you. Mode 2 seems to be mostly a North American thing.

I have a feeling that the regional distinction between mode 1 and mode 2 is becoming blurred. Mode 1 Europe, mode 2 USA used to be standard, but today I think that mode 2 is becoming more the norm worldwide.

May be something to do with the fact that the toy "trainers" such as the Micro Mosquito and the Bladerunner - on which many people now get their introduction to heli flying, only come with left throttle.

Although I'm in UK, left throttle is "correct" for me, and I'd hate to have to change now to right throttle.

I've got these tapes. Where should I use them on the xtreme blades? Where looks "best"?

This page;

http://www.miracle-mart.com/store/in...oducts_id=1383

Illustrates the main use of this tape as a tracking aid, rather than a decorative item.

Didn't find it much use myself - or maybe my blades were already tracking okay!

When I go to www.miracle-mart.com and try and order anything I can't seem to find a "buy" or "buy now" button anywhere. I see a ton of this "Show Room Only" text. Has anyone else experienced this or am I an idiot?

I see! So nobody can buy anything right now till they finish working on the website. I never saw that announcement anywhere so I didn't know what is going on. I could travel the website with no problem, look at the helicopter etc but I found no where to buy it. I also joined as a member earlier today without a problem.....so is the website really down?

I am looking to buy the Lama V4 as my first helicopter. I have lots of experience with fixed wing aircraft, but I saw that a lot of people found the Lama's to be a great starter helli.....miracle-mart.com seems to be the cheapest place to buy but I can't seem to actually buy it there. I am thinking now about going with hobby-lobby.com since they have a great reputation. Anyone have a preference on where to buy?

I ordered parts from them too, no complaints. Give it a shot in a few days.

That's what that tape is for!!! Thanks for that link, sweet!

So, how do you adjust tracking afterwards??

Adjust the link between the flybar and the top rotor head. It's a trial and error method, really. Shorten it by a turn, check, and if it's worse go the other way.

I find it easier to check for out of track by spooling up and sighting the blades side on against a CRT monitor or TV. (If anyone has such stuff nowadays. It doesn't seem to work with a LCD display.)
