Is there a product I could buy that will automaticly discharge my lipos to the correct voltage for storage? I have a apachea 2500 charger with a hyperion lba6 balancer. It now seens that I need to discharge them as im not able to get out and fly weekly. Ive tried to find about this in threads but havent had much luck. thanks for your help Robert

I'm pretty sure lipos need to be stored at 3.85v per cell. I would run them down with your watt meter hooked up. Easy enough.

Mountain Models shows 14 of them in stock at this time. http://www.mountainmodels.com/produc...roducts_id=506

I just got one from Brian. Intial tests show it works just as intended - bringing each cell down to about 3.9V

It discharges each cell through the balance plug (be sure to get the accessory lead to make up an adapter unless you have the balance lead used on the ElectriFly Power Series and CSRC V2 and many Chinese-sourced packs on your batteries).

FWIW, I use my Triton on Nimh discharge setting with an 11.4 cutoff. Hook it up and walk away and never have to worry about over-discharge. If I have several batteries that are charged to the same voltage level, I'll parallel them and discharge them all at once to 11.4V cutoff. The packs usually recover to 11.5-11.6V after discharging. Perfect for storage.

If you've a Dandy Sport or GT you'll find the Switchback Sport or "3D" very familiar both in the build and in flying - since the SB and Dandy use the same wings.

BEC I have the sport should i just get the gt wing? I thought the high wing dandy as compared to the low wing switchback made a difference. Thanks for the input Robert

<offtopic> They fly quite similarly but there is some difference. Sport to Sport it is not huge. I've not flown the symmetrical wing on the SB so can't say there. The Sport wing suits my flying desires better than the GT wing for the Dandy. What to get kind of depends on what you want to do differently than you can/do with the DS </offtopic>
