Futaba's TM-14 module FASST

Futaba has changed the 14MZ-12Z-12FG transmitter module.
Has anybody heard anything?

Nope. News to me. Looks like they had an early version and figured out how to make it more compact. I like the looks of the new one.

Yes. Looks good. I don't see a cable that has to be connected to the DSC port. Wonder if they airbrushed it out .....

Later;

Of course we all know that the Futaba modules are designed from the ground up dedicated for use in the Futaba radios and have no need to depend on cables and such to work.

I hope the change doesn't cause a delay in the release date (late August).

More plastic problems
Only kidding
Seriously, these are interesting times in RC technology, but with all new technologies it's not always a good move to be an early adopter. Patience is a virtue, and it can save you money in the long run.
Personally, I'm a prime candidate for a FASST module for my 9Cs, but with only 3 1/2 months left in the flying season locally (not counting the obligatory monthly "ALL Season Flier" Parky flights on the property) I probably will wait until next Spring.

This might be the reason for the change of the 12FG.
And, someone noticed the lack of the channel number dial
