So far I've been sim-ing with the Mac version of Heli-X. Very interesting program. Java based. The only thing missing so far is any helicopter behaving as if it has an HH gyro. Rate flying at its finest. Some of the models are larger scale birds with the main rotor and tail rotor rotating opposite. You have to give these heli's left aileron instead of right aileron to hover. Up til now I assumed it would be a disaster to fly a european helicopter set up this way but now it seems feasible.

If I can just get a few minutes loose I'm going to go outside and really fly.

Tried to get my heli out of the tree today using a lead weight and a fishing pole. I was able to snag the limb, but it seems to be really stuck.

You need somebody like Bear Grylls to get that back. Look into local climbing groups or tree doctors. BUt it has to be a favor to make it worthwile.

Problem is the tree is 200ft back from the street and it's 75ft up. The neighbors who's tree it is thinks they can get it with a 22ft ladder and a long pole. We will see tomorrow. Should make for some good pics.

I don't know about lifting a 50ft pole. Doesn't seem feasible. NOt on a wobbly ladder.
