Fall Tri-Cities/Eagle Butte trip

So there's been lots of talk over the wires about a fall gathering in the Tri-Cities for some pre-winter sloping and general merriment. I thought I'd kick things off and see who wants to go and when... there's been some talk of September and some talk of October. For me, I'm back East visiting family in September so October (2nd or 3rd week?) suits my tastes.

Thoughts? Who's in? What are the winds like around that time of year?

The wind fest usually starts in late Sept and gets nice in October with the first storm fronts that roll in from southern waters. I'd shoot for the 3rd weekend in Oct.

Hi Neil

I may make the trip in September and in October too.

Only bummer days are shorter at the end of October.

Cheers

The third weekend of october sounds good to me, wind is more a priority then temps, if it's snow'n I might be out, but if not I'm there.

Yeah, the days being shorter is a bit of a drag but if you put 3 or 4 of them in a row it's pretty good

I'm definitely out for September but Sam suggested two trips also - end of September and week 2 or 3 of October, for those who want to do both. Wish I could!

I know October is more consistent at Eagle. I'm up for a nice long weekend anytime in October.

That's why it's extra-important to settle on the dates for your Eagle trip *now*. And then go to Hawaii the other weeks

I think when the wind is blowing hard is a good idea to, so it's settled.

September would be nice, but if odds get better in late October, that might be best.

I doubt my wife would let me do to weekends.
