That or Marcel's Draken. I've had that one radared at 78mph consistently using the standard 2212-6 2200kv motor. I'm sure a hotter setup could get it close to 100!

Thats gonna be hard to do with one of the pusher jets imho. Maybe the Grayson monster jet on steves bandit or t38. The rcfoamfighters have several plans for ones over 100 but i believe they are all delta wings

I was with Pat when his Draken was clocked at 78mph. When Pat was making his run with the Draken it was in a 90 degree crosswind. I think that is one that could be pushed even faster with another setup and a few mods such as hinges.

You might also check out the X-41 Deltastorm. The first one went almost 84 MPH on the standard 2212-6. My son built one and It looked to be at least that fast. With more power it has a lot of speed potential. I think you can find the thread here on RC Groups if you search X-41 Deltastorm.

Just wanted to show off my landing gear mod to the F-22. It's my second homebuilt (first was a Schumate F-18) and I can't stop flying this plane, it's pretty fun.....

A few weeks ago I got didn't get out of the way of the prop during a hand launch and was rewarded with 6 stitches to my index finger (I'll learn one day ). So I decided to add some gear to the plane.....

I used some spare 0.063" wire, a brass tube for the wire, a couple of gear mounts from a old GWS P-51 kit, some 1.2 inch wheels, some spare bass wood and spare depron.

Currently I fixed the nose gear, but I provisioned it for steering. The gear is mounted in close proximity to the carbon fiber spar and bent long enough to avoid a prop strike. Also the mounts allow for easy removal for flying at fields without a smooth enough runway.

Flying qualities haven't changed and touch and goes are quite fun, not to mention spot landings. The aircraft has so much power take-off distances are quite short and during abused take-off test I couldn't get the prop to hit the ground.

Hopefully the attached pictures help.....

I always wing launch pusher props. Its just as easy as throwing them under or over hand. If you've ever tossed a boomerang you can toss it this way. It even works on much larger planes , you just grab it closer to where the wing meets the fuesalage.

My wife pointed out my typo........

Stupid Apple device tries to outsmart me. "Ex" should be " wx".

Guess my new plane money just turned into jewelry.

Lol. Im interested in that x41. Looks like it has some good speed potential. Narrow fuesalage and no intakes. I have a 3000kv motor coming. Think ill build one with a 4x4.75 prop. May mod the nose a bit to be more rounded. Should reduce just a smidge of drag

Sweetness!

Had this plane in a box for years, rain and wind yesterday so this got built. Wasn't sure if I was gonna like it so didn't paint it. Maidened today and holy cow it is sweetness! So easy to fly fast or slow. I have a 2505-2900 in it with MAS 6x4, flew nice on 1800 and 2200 3S. Had to go out and get some paint cause it's a keeper! Have an ICE lite 50 in her so she is ready for 4S! I'll get a vid of that!

Downloaded the DXF file so I can do a 75%, really nice that this in in public domain!

Save yourself some time and trouble and build this one instead of the 75%. It's 66%, but the plans are ready to go. Just go to my first post (Post 10) to find the current plans.
