I got the Turnigy brand from Hobby King. They seem to work pretty well.

Hi,

Today I went out with my 80% F22. It was a bit too much windy (20km/h) for it
I crashed it after the first 5 seconds of the first flight...
Anyway after I was able to fly without the nose
It was really really fun. Fast in one direction and very reponsive. I did figures that I never did before

What I do is glue them in and bend them over until the angle of the vertical fins matches the angle of the intake sides.

I've broken the noses off mine several times, usually all the way up to the intakes. Flies just fine without a nose though.

I think it is 70 degrees. Like Pat said, it looks good if they equal the sides of the fuse on bottom.

The more wind the better! I flew my first one with a good wind. learned fast. These birds are the best!

Funny pics Pat, they do fly good without the cockpit, I think it looks like a stingray.

Hey guys I just finished building my F-22 and I am impressed at how good this plane looks! I have to order a motor, esc and prop still, but so far very happy! I am wondering what kind of airfoil to add to make it easier to fly and slow it down. RC Powers uses a KF airfoil. I haven't even flown it, so what do you guys think? This is my second plane, but I haven't even gotten the first one out yet. I have been using a simulator and I am pretty good. I opted for foamies and cheap electronics so I don't care if I crash!
Thanks guys.

If you ask me, nothing needs to be added. This plane will fly slow very well, all you have to do is just back off the throttle.

And don't forget, I sell the perfect power package for this plane (and APC-style 6X4E props too!).

Pat,
I was finally able to put that motor of yours to the test on 3s. (albeit on another foamie, the ff-117)
It's fantastic! Temps are okay and speed is plentiful.
If I had put it on the f-22 I'd need some more strengthening on the wings for sure :-D

That sounds great!

And yes, this setup definitly requires that you use a wing spar. In fact, I recommend a spar no matter what foamy it is. I did not put one on my tomhe Su-37 and after a while the wings developed a curve in them which started throwing off my trim.
