Wrong power plant
Have just put my TomHe 100% F22 into the air for the first time... in fact first RC I have made or flown. Apart from crumpled nose, no real smashes. Problem is I think the power plant is wrong. Just cant get the speed to level off. Any sugestions?
1450Kv brushless outrunner 6x5.5 prop 1100Mah or 1600Mah 3s LiPo Only elevon control 410gram flying weight Also can someone point me to a calculator or site where I can more accurately choose the correct gear for this F22 and future EDF planes. Love this F22, so forgiving even when flown by a first time noob. Thanks Tom if your around. Mick |

Okay, here is what you need: get a 2212-06 motor with the 6X4 prop and you'll be good to go!Don |

Boy did I make a fine mod on the f22. Instead of having the jagged cut on the ele,I added a piece straight across and man you ought to see what it can do because of the extra tail area. I kicked up the ele on low rate and full power and it just spun like a top on on axis abt 15 times before I knew what was happening.
I know some guys like to keep it to look like an f22. You can do more at reduced throttle. This plane did not have a Grayson motor on it either. I used a speed 400 from heuprc Bill |

I still believe that the F22 flies better than most other similar pusher jets out there.
I just put my Mig-29 back in service and it is much more lightly built. It does those TIGHT loops too. But my rates are set to LUDICROUS ! My F-15 has had the FAN removed and pusher installed. It's a nice flier but not like the F-22 or the Mig ! |

Birth, life & death of a tomhe F22
First: a BIG thanks to tomhe for his great design! May I show you the lifecycle of my first one (also first scratchbuild for me)
? Most of the flights I had a cam "taped" on the plane, sometimes even a gps-logger. On this one I did only small modifications: a 2mm balsa-sheet as a reinforcement (the material I used is a little bit softer than real depron). Motor is a 37 g 2600 kV.
