Question
Name That Ship

here is a rolling competition, rules are simple, someone posts a pic of a ship up, with its name obscured or not visable, or part of a ship.

From there the identity of the ship has to be guessed, from there the person who correctly identifies the ship gets the next go and posts another ship and the cycle begins again.

all I can say is the tug is a Damen built ASD tug and the feighter appears to be a coastal dry bulk or cement freighter. Background looks to be a European Corvett/friget and an historic light ship.

the big blue one pat

Keith, the tug is not the ship to guess, the big blue one under tow is, yes its a freighter, however its cargo isn't exactly what I would call pleasant.

At first glance I'd want to say the Mulheim, but that photo looks too new, and quick google tells me that the Mulheim's bridge is different.... hmmm.

Is it on the river Thames?

And is the cargo either rubbish/trash or sewage/effluence?

Dry bulk cargo... Is the cargo bird poop that will eventually become fertilizer?

I can tell you now that whoever shot that photo used long and slow lens... so I can't get a gauge of the scale <grumple moan>.

Hmmm so it's either carrying nuclear waste or fuel (Mox). Should have guessed with your South Sands Nuclear

Pacific something?...

Destination Japan maybe?

I meant I should have guessed it had something to do with nuclear based on your Sydney Star.

It's one of these three...
Pacific Teal
Pacific Sandpiper
Pacific Pintail

If I was to guess from using zoom in Photoshop (still can't read it though)-
Pacific Pintail

Pacific Pintail it is, being towed into Birkenhead for a refit.
