Okay, looking at their code, the comments point back to this thread post 237.

Looks like erezraviv saw the enhancement request and made the changes.

R590 changelog: http://code.google.com/p/er9x/source...c=svn590&r=590

Just gotta check if it works. Don't have my programmer yet...but I'll do the mod as soon as it arrives.

Update...

I made a post with image on the location of the 3.3v connection point on the Turnigy 9x' mainboard. So you can now tap into that to power the DSM2 module.

Trying to put a AMTX11 from my DX5e on th9x

The AMTX11 is the RF module of the DX4e Spektrum transmitter (included in RTF kit of MCPx helicopter for example). This module is full Range.

You can find the special Futaba square connector from simulator dongle (7$)

becarefull, it's hard to soldering the wires on this, before, you can add Epoxy glue behind the connector.

I use LE33CZ (warning => 1 -> Vout, 2 -> GND, 3 -> Vin) regulator and I glued a heatsink on it, and Vin Max for T10 transmitter is 8,4v.

You can find below the new schematic (based on the schematif of c2po) and some photos of the assembly
Hi, I want to try using my AMTX11 from my DX5e on my Turnigy 9x but I have a very newbie question Based on your schematic for the AMTX11 that would mean that if I want to use the AMTX11 with the th9x that supports dsm2 the pin you labeled TX could go straight from the AMTX11 to the Turnigy 9x TX pinout? and of course connecting the Vin and Vout accordingly? Thank you in advance!

What's the minimum required amount of data that has to be sent to the module and at what interval for the module to connect correctly to my micro heli. The module is already bound to the heli and i'm currently sending this via arduino

{0x00,0xAA,0x05,0xFF,0x09,0xFF,0x0D,0xFF,0x13,0x54 ,0x14,0xAA}

every 22 microseconds with no success. I'm trying to build a diy remote to control my various micro helis. Can anyone give me suggestions?

That does not look quite right. I think you are missing a "0x00 0x00" at the beginning.

have read this? http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...&postcount=225

read from..."For the binding procedure, the packet is the same, but the header is 0x80,0x00 instead of 0x00,0x00. That's why I said that I'm afraid that the default package is maybe associated to the radio."
