for all you Shocky owners.

how do the rudders perform on the older shockies? (superstar, Edge 540, Extrema)

I got meself a Shocky Edge 540 cheap NIB. I had one along time ago (200 foamies ago) I set it up HEAVY (because I did not know to much) with a AXI 22/12/26 and some generic 1200mah 3 cell. flew like a turd and I could not keep the nose on. any how....


I am building my newest one and I want to make it a light 3D pig. I modded the ailerons with counter balances, cutting the elevator a bit bigger. but the rudder seems soo puney (if I spelled that right) it doesn't seem like it willl realy wing it around. but I could be wrong..

before I go any further, has any one ever made a bigger rudder for the Shockies? maybe add a counter balances to the top or no? I was just thinking about cutting a new one 1" bigger on the LE. or does it not need it?

it just seems like with the big ailerons and big elevator it needs a big rudder...
