Someone may already have mentioned Aerodyne for nitrate dope, covering materials, plans, f/f kits, timers, etc.

One of the best sources of free flight "stuff" is Aerodyne, a small company in California. They offer Pollyspan, Esaki tissue, silkspan, great nitrate and butyrate dope (both tightening and nontightening), kits of all sorts, plans, balsa, engines, etc. Try them at <www.freeflightmodels.com/index.html> and check it out.

A new video tutorial DVD is available, showing how to cover with tissue and how to chalk tissue. These workshops were produced by recognized master modelers - pretty darn good stuff. Available at http://www.smallflyingarts.com/ads/DVD_1a.htm

Following a post in 'Engines', I thought this may be of interest.

Quote : Right now the Cox webpage is shared with the Estes rocket webpage. Very soon, Cox will have it's own webpage with loads of new products.

Check back at www.coxmodels.com later this month.

i've just been into this hobby for a little over 2 months and
the closest hobbyshop doesnt even sell rubber bands.
most of the materials I have came from local department stores
besides the balsa. So my first scale models were covered in walmart tissue. i bought guillows sheet models for the balsa wood. then i went to the hobbyshop and picked up some 20lb / ft^3 1/32 next time i took some scales. my first ministicks, peanuts and and ezb are made with wood from guillows jet stream wood
and the ezb covered with that tissue from walmart that looks like
polymicro. funny eh. it flies really well considering. i guess i have gained experience. now that i have learned a little there are so many things scattered out at different shops. where is the best place for getting 4-6lb wood , quality rubber, covering material, gears for pager motors and n20s, props for rubber and electric( i can make these but it would be nice to get some to compare the performance) lithium polymer batteries, micro recievers (for guided rubber powered planes in this forum of course), etc...

here are some places to buy materials that Paul Bradley turned me on to.

A very good source for rubber and props is Peck Polymers. You
will find their web site at http://www.peck-polymers.com.

Lone Star balsa has a web site and provides very good wood
at a fair price. You will find them at http://207.8.138.183/index.shtml.

here are my favorite free plans and howto places
I know they are covered in the free flight plans thread
but i'll post my favorites any way
