Mirage SP400 competition F5J model -- RTF

This is a one-of-a-kind SP400 competition F5J model. It began life as the one and only (as far as I know) aileron winged Mirage HLG produced by Don Peters. This was just before discus launching became all the rage, making the javaliln launch models obsolete overnight. The kevlar over foam core construction is the typical Maple Leaf quality.

My brand new, obsolete model sat on the shelf a few years, and was then mated to an electric fuselage for F5J competition in the SP400 class. Wow! The model was an instant success. It flies great and the full span ailerons allow for camber changing and great thermal performance. There are a few dings and scratches in the wing, nothing serious. All servos included, just add your receiver and power battery. The power system is a Rocket SP400 motor (broken in and flown about 4 flights), Kontronik Rondo 480 controller, MP-Jet gearbox, Graupner 11x8 prop, and 29mm spinner.

This model has won the SP400 class in the Electric Soaring World Challange almost every year, flown against all the well known competition models. One of the keys to it's success is it's low weight of only 20 ounces. The model will climb nearly straight up on the included power system, so it gets to altitude fast!

For sport flying, or F5J competition in the "Outrunner" class, a Hacker A20-20L motor will bolt right in and a 2S lipo brings the weight down to just 15 ounces!

$250 shipped CONUS.

Thanks,
Lenny Keer
