Futaba Super 8U, is it true it either works high _or_ low band?

I have a Futaba Super 8U that came with a chan. 45 module, I've used it at 48 as well. I'm thinking of getting another module but heard that the Tx is set to be used in the upper _or_ lower end of the band and the cut-off is around 35, is that true?

Futaba's receivers are split into a "high" and "low" band, but the module in the transmitter contains all the RF circuitry, so you can plug in any 72 Mhz module and be fine.

I see, so the Tx can do any channel, its the Rx that is limited. What about Hitec and FMA receivers? I have a superslim, is that also high OR low band? If so can I change it?

Thanks

So far I've only seen Futaba split their Rxs up into high/low band. Every other manufacturer seems to be able to cover the entire range (unless someone knows better ).
