X-Power? you dont, its auto ranging, soon as you go to WOT the first time it re-ranges the curve for the rest of the flight.

Just a pic of the SAPAC Eurofighter. Im very pleased with this model. Tempted to remove the stock 64mm fan (although very good) and replace it with a Wemotec MF480 with a HET 3W. Still havnt decided yet.

Everybody should get one. Gotta love it

Note: Floor wasnt big enough to lay out all the parts. Its a decent sized bird

I would stick with the stock fan, its designed to run 3-4 cells and on 4 cells its a real little powerhouse

Fan appears to run out of go at 3/4 throttle in static testing. Normal ?

Setup is
100 amp opto x-power
Extreme RC 5s 5000
Womo midi fan
Medusa 2000kv motor.

Thoughts ?

How many amps is it pulling?
Sometimes as the amps go up over a certain amount, the voltage starts to go down quickly.

But i guess this is happening right off the bat before voltage sag gets a chance to set in.
so I dunno why this is happening.
I dont think this has much to do with it, but are all your throttle trims, sub trims, and end pint adjusts on throttle in neutral?

Got anything to read RPM's? if your getting over 32,000 at 3/4 throttle, might give a better idea whats going on?

After ARMING, you go to full throttle , wait a sec, then back down to throttle off. wait...wait, (dont know if your supposed to get beeps now ?)

But after that, going up on the throttle should be linear all the way to the top.

The throttle curve is self calibrating, its not one that is set to the Tx. Been over this already!

Just arm it as normal, first time you fire up the motor it will reach full throttle by the time you are at around 3/4 on the stick, push the stick all the way up while its running flat out then bring it back slowly, you will find the ESC has recalibrated the end point to within 2 notches or so of WOT.

Going all the way is not necessarily required in order to reach full throttle on many ESC's, many of the cheaper tower pro etc have non adjustable ranges that start at 1/4 and end at 3/4, the X-power self calibrates every time you plug in and run the motor up to WOT for the first time.

Ok, eyeball looking straight ahead now, i've soldered em in, and they work sweet, no questions, lol.

BTW, These ones need the red wire in place to arm, worked that one out on my own, lol.

Question about the big HV 12S 100amp ESC's mark.
How many RPM per motor Poles, and volts.
Primarily 44 to 50 volts, 6 to 8 poles, what rpm will the controller work up to.
Im sure these esc have the headroom, but i have to check, cause im getting timming breakup at above 30,000 rpm now, the other day it was ok to 45,000 rpm initially, not sure if that was just luck then ?

I could look the info up, but im sure you know off the top of your head?

200,000 per pole ive just found, i think, not exactly sure.

200,000/8 poles = 25,000rpm
or
200,000/6 poles = 33,000rpm

I think these motors have 6 to 8 poles, have to try find this info now.
This might explain my problems anyways?

Does 200,000 div / poles sound about right on those 12S 100amp esc's?

Most ESC's are 210,000rpm max, so divide down from there. You can set it to low timing and see if that will help get you the rpm, many of the high Kv outrunners being used in smaller fans these days have to run on low timing or they start to pole when the RPM gets up.

Finally finished off the Slopwith Camel, lovely little kit, heaps of detail, could easily hang her up as a display model!

They nicknamed them slopwith because supposedly they dumped around 7 litres of oil an hour!?!
