Need slow flyer AA plans!

hi,

i wanna build a slow flyer so i can fly it in my back yard without getting in trouble, i got a bunch of trees in my backyard and i always crash into them, i want to build a slow flyer that can fly slowly and not fall down, i also like to do fly bys by my face but with the fast AA jet its not even funny . is there any plans that i can use? thanks!

I don't have plans, but I know of a glider that can do that for $6.00. any interest and I will post it here for you..let me know..or if you just want to build then ok.

The standard AA Bipe (the "old" one with tail stick) should be fully ok for your needs. Its slow (especially with its out of the box trim, a bit porpoising) and manoevrable. I fly with it eights and circles in a place approx. 8x8 meters.

The Power Hawk with the fake front propeller removed
is slower than the bipe.

The wind up rubber band planes or gliders fly slow,Modfly and I have had great succsess with these. I used jet gear.

You just have to build a very light plane from 2-3mm depron with say about 12-15 inch span. More works also. The secret is a low wing load. If all stays below 20gr you will have automatically a slow plane. Maybe the catalina from the aatoolbox ? Or a DC-3 from former posts (the gene bond plans). Those all will be slow.

rhondawart - why should I add flaps, for what purpose

Flaps will slow it down A BUNCH.

Now I understand rhondaward - you are right. It reduces wingload and makes some drag, like an airbrake.
