As far as I know, none of Absolute are sold with flapped version, but on the other hand, there is a NON FLAPPED version of Kamelots available as shown in FVK site. I will definitely prefer Absolute than Kamelot for FUN. And recently, I just got my 'fleet of ABs' on the feet again with some 'relocations' of various power trains...got my no.4 to no.7 on the feet again , yes got 7.5 pcs (half for one pair of spare wings) of them from the beginnings...and I only bought 2.5 pcs Kamelot, and still having one NIB Kam,so you might see the degree of my preference amongst them...but I do NOT mean to say KAM is BAD, it is more likely my crappy landing skills together with more crappy flying venue that broke KAM fuselage all the times. Imho, besides the roomy and stout fuselage offer by Absolutes, another greatest 'feature' of AB is its SIMPLICITY., eg. Less wirings works.,less controls to messy with, ie less mistakes, more time/ efforts to look into power systems, and with its RG airfoil that, slows down easily with spoilerons and high AOA during landings.,I enjoy these controllable landings, so flaps won't be needed really. Good Luck Regards, David (PS: I might try to 'convert' my early AB into a FLAPPED frankenstein typed AB, I do so for I really want to learn IF flaps could help to make more lift for extra weight from a severly beaten AB...... I have already done such mod to a wing of my CAT (= HL's Tigre..),waiting for some spared/ foul fuselages to work onto, sorry OT) |
