All dow protection board (fuse is 2 layers back to back)

I used a random 3 view off the internet and scaled it.

2x Naro servos
1x huge arse dual converion futaba reciever.

my intial test have been in a very small area outside my house and she is a floater!

Looking good, love the Komet. Have been considering Rabid Models 163 which is similar to yours sans ducted fan. It's a floater too.

I would imagine the prop version to have overall better performance (speed range and slow flight) but I always wanted an edf komet and thats what I had lying around... flys great... going out to the field in awhile... maybe pics and a proper flight report.

We made a bunch of these when GeneBond posted his plans awhile back...prop powered .... very fast , but had some early tendencies not to turn ...less area forward of the CG and a bigger rudder did the trick ...nice sub fin STRAT!!! we know that helps...

Does your version of the komet have any relation to the one that Firetrappe drew of my profile one. Just curious

Or was it your own plan?

you inspired me to do the komet! but no I didnt use those plans.. I scaled up a 3 view pretty large and took measurements and TLAR'd it.

now I have a huge komet taking up half the living room. pretty sturdy and light.

luckily we have a van!.... roll rate seems ok... I would have preffered to do full span but the little naro servos wouldnt be up to the task.
tests so far were out front (it barley fits through the door)

Did you use balsa strips to stiffen the wings? Is it strong enough.?

On my 45"version the wings flopped some even with a hard 3/16"dowel. I had to use nylon string on both sides of the wings to prevent this from happening.
