Not a whole lot is revealed as of now. Many people do not like the steerable outdrive including myself.

Twisted Liquid Racing here:

http://www.twistedliquidracing.com/blackjack.html

has a conversion kit for rudder as a replacement for the "U" joint drive for the Blackjack 26 nitro. It should fit the FE version.

Description: "Gain control at high speed of your Blackjack 26 by installing our "SKATER" In Line Rudder System. Increase control in turns and on the straights. This kit lets you completely remove the u-joint system on the Blackjack 26. Saving you money in the long run. Kit comes complete with everything you need to install in minutes, including new drive shaft and strut. No modifications needed to install. You have two choices with our hardware. Satin finish or Chrome finish. Same hardware, just two types of finishes.
TLR BREAKAWAY "SKATER" INLINE RUDDER SYSTEM"

my guess run time would be the typical average of 8-15 minutes, depending on how you're running the boat.

Hey no stick, thanks for that info. Does that kit replace all the black plastic with metal? Have you tried it? Looks awesome!

I have a SuperVee 27 electric (stock) with brass prop. My neighbor has a BlackJack 26 also with brass prop. My SV27 will out run the BlackJack.

THis is a very subjective question. I have the BJ 26 running 2 8.4 4000 MAH LiPo's in mine with an octura prop and I doubt there are too many Supervees that can run with it in a straight line... Radar gun show it hitting over 50MPH... My buddy has one with the same lipo's I have and he can't keep his upright.

There's no such thing as 8.4v LiPo's.

2s would be 7.4v

On another forum the guys with stock boats running LiPo's in the SV are achieving low 40's while the guys running LiPo's in the proboat cat are achieving high 30's. These LiPo's are high capacity 25C.

What are doing to achieve over 50mph?

maybe they are using a different prop to hit 50? i can say that my friend's blackjack takes off from a dead stop while my sv27 cavitates for maybe 10' or more before hitting plane and catching (then passing) the blackjack. i expect that i can improve my performance by switching to a two blade prop but i've found my three blade gives greater top-end compared to my other friend's two blade (on a sv27).

sadly, i like both and will probably end up getting a blackjack at some point.

on an up-note, my sv27 can outrun a mud hen in flight. almost nailed on one the water. after it took off i turned and followed along side it down the length of the lake. i passed it a little then made a wide right turn while slowing. sucker almost landed on my boat! oh ducks, why are you so fun...

An X642 was run apparently as well as the Grim props. I'm not fond of any of the Grim props, I prefer Prather, ABC, or Octura.
