Just thought I'd show the Velocity Mirage off a bit. Just finished it up the other day and hope to maiden it this week sometime. The fan is the WM400 so I get to test that too. On the bench it seems very good. I am starting out with a Kontronik 480-33 in it which seems to be a real nice fit for 4s and 5s use. On 4s I'm getting around 45 amps 750 watts and 5s is 925 watts and 55 amps. And for those who do look at static that seems pretty good too, 925 watts is putting out almost 3.8 pounds. The Mirage is 3.5 pounds AUW so it should be fun. Some pics below and the paint scheme i went with. Oh! and the plug they have must be very nice cause this thing was perfect, claus did the cad work on it and it came out awesome. They did a nice job of hatch and fan location too, it all drops out in back for easy access and C/G'ing.

well im belly on first flight's but they thought ahead and there is plenty of room along with an elevated tray in the nose, so the cnc micro retracts would fit plenty fine in it and I will be adding those later.

dont know on price, and mode in hind sight, yeah retracts would be tight, by the time you get pack in there its pretty shallow.

Our A-4 Skyhawk I put together for Eric is weighing in at 2lbs 7oz. We have the same fan in it as well.
Man, it really puts out some air. Sweet fan! Will be testing this weekend.

That's too bad, I prefer retracts or fixed gear having a 600' paved runway at my disposal. I highly doubt it can be hand launched?

With the 4s set up at full throttle its possible to hand throw it .But a set of fixed gears is always good or maybe retracts system even better .
