I have this style 2 piece foam spinners on a number of other aeroplane as well as the GWS-40. They do not come of even when the aeroplane crashes.

i was painting my p40 today....

i like the this plane.

as i was painting i noticed the cowl was just starting to warp from the sun

i really like these awsome planes that GWS are making but losing a cowl or canopy can make a plane look bad

in the next kit can we have a pilot and better cowls and canopy's please

I've discussed this issue with boss on using better material for them. He has stated the idea of "Pilot" on his plans.

There are many of us who don't want to wait for the next kit with this warping plastic cowl and canopy issue. We want new parts for the P-40's we already have. It's just not acceptable to me to have to put up with this rinky dink plastic issue when there are a number of better plastics available that could be used. I'm hoping GWS will not let us down on this since it has been an issue on other GWS kits long before the P-40 arrived! In particular, the TM400. I've warped two of those cowlings the same way... one without even running the motor. The new improved kits should have fixed this problem before being released.

Chen, thanks for re-raising the issue with Mr. Lin. But what's his position on getting us better plastic cowls and canopies for the P-40? Surely he doesn't find the current ones to be acceptable as is!

the build on this kit is great...some easy!!!!!!!!

i went to town on this bird as it is a fav. it has weathering all over it and come up great

will post some air pics after this weekend when she is maidened.
