Hi Bill,

Would you let me know how you applied the aluminum foil on those double curved areas, cowl, wing tips, wing root and stabs. Is the aluminum foil as shrinkable as solar films or monokote ?

I've never got chance to weight it, not only my weight scale was damaged, but also due to aluminum foil tape is very thin and light, so I've never pay much attention to it. It goes with the spinner came with the kit, if installed properly it will stay for long. Due to the presure sensitive tape strong adhesion, there’s no of any tape seams concern. If you have chance to get a close look of how they did with full scale airplane aluminum skin. Pretty much it's the same way that I’ve approached with my models. Tape was cut into irregular size on purposely to simulate full-size skin.

I just referenced to GWS 2215 Brushless Motor Instructions, but go with GWS 9050X3 blades propeller, and powered with Lithium Polymer battery, see the spec label in the attached photo.

I've seen guys add the foil tape to large 90mm edf's as well as the big FMS Mustang and it doesn't add much weight at all.

You need to get a stock replacement and glass the inside of the cowl. Adds minimal weight but makes it 10x stronger. i do this to all my flimsy cowls. (Which includes all GWS cowls)

I used dry wall re-enforment tape and "sho goo", very strong, but a little flexible.
The car guys do that.

Bill, I have used the 9070X3 propeller with very good results. It has a little less thrust but a little more speed and puts slightly less drain on the batteryso you can get longer flights.

On my GWS P-40 I am using a GWEPSQ2815R power system and a 1060X3 HD propeller. It is very fast but must have a heat sink in order to fly.
