Actually, the HL event is experiencing a revival. There was indeed a lack of club support with only John Jenks available to run things. John couldn't do it alone but Doug Harnish has stepped up to leed an email campaign to gather help from non SJSF members to help run the contest. Things are looking good now. There is a lot of support for this contest to continue and ESL members are stepping up to see that it does continue. The contest will be run sort of like the ESL end of season Open where there is no host club, the contest is just run by the contestants.

The SJSF HL contest is still expected to happen on September 15, 16.

Next step is to get a discussion thread going with more details about the contest.

That is great news. If someone will get me the details I will send out an update to the ESL newsletter to announce the rebirth of the event.

Gustabmo,

I am not sure but I might have been recieved or influenced by you. This one is Oleg's, etc. Each group has their actual score normalized to the best score of that group. The top guy get 1000 points while everyone else gets the fraction of that.

So if the top guy got a 500 sec and I got 400 sec. total. The top pilot would reciev a 1000 whiile I would get (400/500 x 1000) = 800 points. All the points are added up at the end.
