I don't know this help. It's a DWA starter stand.
The red bike is belonged to Ken Harper. The black bike is mine.

Hey those are great pcitures of the RGI starter, the plastic one looks very much like the bergonzoni starter i have, am working on an aluminum that will replace it.

I just bought a RG1 and am still waiting for it to arrive. I bet that RG1 handles great.
What kind of engine sits on the Rg1 and any tips you have il appreciate it.

I bought my RG1 in June 2003, it came with a Picco XP-12 (2.1cc). It's a very nice bike, I've had a some good times running it although these days it is doing 'shelf queen' duty, not because I'm trying to save it or anything .... but I have 18 nitro bikes and a bunch of gasoline cars .... time .... never enouh of it.

Wow guys....thanks just the photos I wanted to see as well. I've asked my aluminum maker how much to make a stand like this. I'm going to send him these pictures so he can get an idea.

thanks for this post guys.

Does anyone know the size or specs of the motor on these starting stands, or better yet someplace I could get one? The motor on my Bergonzoni stand has bit the dust and I have been using a handheld starter till I can get it fixed.

Thanks,
Jason

Here you go:

Both of my 'factory' RG1 starter stands have motors stamped with the following:

RS-775VF

So, I reckon you need a Mabuchi RS-775VF, you should be able to get this from almost any electric motor supplier.

Hope this helps.

Jason,

The one on my Bergo stand is one of the Graupner Speed range, but looking at that Mabuchi diagram,it looks the same motor.
Unfortunately the writing on the case has worn off,so I don't know which Graupner motor it is,but you need a 5.00mm shaft for the Bergo starter ring.

Thanks Guys,

Mine is also faded, but now that Kevin said Mabuchi. I can kinda tell that that is what it says, but it looks like the # maybe RS-775SH. Thanks again, now I have something to search for.

I went to the Mabushi site and they don't even list this model number.
I did find a Mabushi RS-775-144 on a robotics site. The specs are about the same as the one Kevin listed, so I ordered one to give it a try.
