hi, i'm looking for a boat, and i cant decide between the RR2 of the ZZR2. whick one is faster, i know that RR2 has the motor cooling jacket. all that maters to me is speed, my friend is willing to sell it to me TODAY
and i need to decide fast, he will sell it for aprox 40$. i think its a good price, its new, can you buy the cooling jacket separately and put it on ZZR2. but all that matters to me is speed, the ZZR2 has a 380 motor same as the RR2, and i know it does not have that much electronics protection as RR2 has, but all that matters is SPEED.

i might work on it myself and put a faster motor,

as far as i know, they are about the same speed-wise. pretty much the same motor. only real difference is the battery pack that comes with each. they are both 6 cell but one is 900mAh and the other is 1000mAh. that would only affect run time. i picked zzr2 just because it comes with the balls/buoys w/weights and the front scoop. very hand for rescuing my other boats.

Look at the Zig Zag 3.

does it leak easly, and is the throttle and steering proportional like the RR2.
and should i get it for 40$, is it worht it?

I have owned both. The Reef Racer, IMO, is the much better boat. Better electronics, hull and radio. Speed wise they are pretty close and both handle fairly similar.

They run about the same - like 10 minutes (depends on how much full throttle you use).

$40 used seems high to me for a ZZ2 unless it is like new condition.

its brand new, and the regular costs 80$, i just wanna make sure that i will enjoy it and it will stay with me for a while, not break right away.

i asked my friend he said he might take it down to 35$, is the boat worth it?

can you buy the coolibng jacket separately and put a bigger motor on there?

just bend copper tubing around the motor, and put fuel line on it...its exactly how they make the water cooling, you can make your own.

where can i get copper tubing, is that the one that has wires inside it? and whats a fuel line? and where can i get it? overall should i get the new ZZR2 for 40$, is it worth it?

If you want fast and small look at the Pro-Boat Mini-V. I have one of those and I like it better than both the RR2 and ZZ2.

is it faster than the ZZR2 and the RR2, but it does not have a cooling jacket either. i dont know, the one most reason i waned to buy the ZZR2 is because i could get it for cheap.
