I have a new Xplorer...
But I'm sick as a dog, so someone post a pic of a sick dog with no energy, next to a red Xplorer, and you will get the idea.
Its nap time for me!

My "RaceM Ultimate" seen here with its previous owner & ace pilot Greg Dakin.
Shortened wings (2.75m) & fus, very light, 65ozs rtf.
I'm hoping for some fast F3F times with this one!

Come on Alan, you know I am just a Sport Flyer! How wimpey does that sound? Honestly, I am really not into competition with this sport. I just like to fly nice planes where and when I feel like it! I may show up to Torrey in March though.

Nest of Skorps

Skorps may be old now but still very fast. Which one do you reckon is the fastest; DSL, F3B, F3F?

Well, the Skorp, top left, beats 'em all- amazing what nearly 3KW and an F5B competition set up does to this plastic!

Waste of space to stuff light Lipos and Motor in a slope fuse and wings instead of Tungsten.

The pure (Glider) version with the right Ballast will smoke the electric stuff.

Cheers

I'll bet that Tony starts his dive in from 700ft a whole lot earlier than you! Like about 4 seconds after launch! Anyway, a competition F5B set-up is cheaper than tungsten

Everybody lands when I fly it and it gets me the slope to m'self . Doesn't happen with anything else, tungsten laden latest uber plastic don't get the same respect especially from the foamy brigade and I bet that's the same the world over!

3kg, 3m with pitch speed of close to 100mph vertical or otherwise is still tanking when you switch the motor off (vertical or otherwise) whether the wind blows or the lifts in, or not!

It gives me that same feeling of 'adreneline dumping' like after I've been DS'ing because like DS'ing the speed is constant as a dive from height (with a big kick coming down) is literally only seconds away. A couple dozen of those is more intense flying than you could ever hope for normally on the slope especially if you drive 3hrs round trip and trek up that special big hill full of hope!

Waste of space? No thats the Tungsten you've lugged up with you whilst sun bathing on top of the big hill, still hoping!

Not the latest and greatest F3* plane but she's my first and I really enjoy flying my Valenta Storm. Last flight was in 40-50mph fully ballasted and she flew like a dream (not these photos), can't wait to fly her again.

lol must be anoying, high pitch noise on the slope, or maybe for othere reason everbody lands.
Btw my Buddy (pilebuck) flys his Special Pike with 250oz / 7kg and I have Modells with similar wing loading.

Electrics are just a nusiance on a big wind day at the slope IMO

To keep this to pictures.
