Yes

The way your servo is mounted also affects this.

Stand behind your heli. Move your tail and observe how the tail rotor changes pitch to compensate. If you move the heli 90 degrees clockwise (tail left) then the leading edge of the tail rotors should point to the right.

If not reverse the switch.

How interesting, when i was thinking of which way (on top) to mount my 401 i was thinkink of having it sideways so the wires face the frame but i went with the usual way as i was unsure if this would have some affect on it.

That's how it works in general; however, if you had it working and just turn the gyro over, you certainly need to reverse it.
