I finally got the power system for my TF Spit conversion operational. I just bought a 16X8 for the HXT50-65C on 8s. First run on new batts was 1400W. I intend to use a more scale four blade on it though, this prop is just for testing and breaking the batts in.
Now I need to charge the packs... They are 2x(4s2P)4200mah packs. The one 4s pack stabilized .8v higher than the other after the first run. They are always going to be used in series with eachother, so can I charge and balance them seperately with my Astro 109/Blinky balancer?
I made a removeable series harness which will allow for this.

I could charge them as 8s in series but I only have one Blinky, so far.

Yes, you can charge them separately. I think that the current practice is to balance charge LiPos about every tenth charge so you could charge them as an 8S most of the time and then separately to balance them say every fifth to tenth time.

NO, balance charge " EM " whenever U need to fly " EM" again, U'll forget to on the 5th to 10th time

Ok, that is what I did. I'll balance them on every charge, seperatley. I just ran 3.8AH out of the packs testing today and BOTH packs were at the same voltage after. I'll keep running them in, still a month away from the maiden!
