Opinion on Rimfire motors

Anybody tried the Rimfire 35-30-950? I'm thinking of trying one, just because of the price, but I'm a bit wary of Great Planes quality. Any opinions?

Trident, I was going to buy the same motor for my GP Lancair ES EP as recommended by the Electrifly website. My lhs talked me into a Himaxx 3510-1100. He seemed to think that their motors were overrated but I can't answer that as I went the Himaxx route. I am using a Great Planes Silver Series 35a speed control though and it seems to be working fine. This is also my first brushless motor as well so not much experience with this stuff yet.

I have one "new in the package" if you are interested: I've never used one and the project is now moot. A friend uses one on his SE 5a and I must say that it is very, very quiet and quite powerful.

Rimfire motors are a great deal for the price, I own four of them now and am very happy with all of them. If you are looking for better you would have to pay the prices for AXI's and Hackers. Some people have mentioned that they are "overated" and I would probably agree but I fly mine very sedately and they work fine.
One big advantage is their warranty, my first rimfire burned a stator in flight and I shipped it out to hobby services on a Monday and had a replacement back by that Friday, try that with another brand.
