Sneak Peek at the New Creation Museum

Here's a site with photos and descriptions of many of the exhibits in the new Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky, near Cincinatti:

(Museum creator Ken) Ham's view explains why visitors enter to see two animatronic baby dinosaurs alongside two children.

"When you have dinosaurs and people together, that makes a statement concerning one's belief about the age of the Earth and evolution," he says. "Obviously it flies in the face of what secular evolutionists will teach."

Dinosaurs and people together flies in the face of more than just what secular evolutionists will teach. It flies in the face of what geologists, paleontologists, archeologists and most other-ists would teach. Except of course creationists.

btw what exactly is a "secular evolutionist"? Do they study a different kind of evolution from an evolutionist who is Christian?

Didn't they have dinosaurs and people together in that movie, 1 Million years BC. Wait, it should have been named 4000 years BC shouldn't it?

I do like Raquel Welch's fur bikini.

"Caveman" starring Ringo Star, Barbara Bach, Shelly Long and Dennis Quaid was a much better movie IMO. I have both on VHS.

Then there's Roger Coreman's "Teenage Caveman", but that was set in the future... sort-of...The story line of Teenage Caveman does sort of mesh well with the original subject of this thread.

If you want a reely stupid caveperson movie, try "Clan of the Cave Bear". Darryl Hannah without a tail but with face-paint. It was panned thoroughly by anthropologists when it came out -- Cro-Magnon and Neanderthal contemporaries, really!!! -- but in recent years, some scientists accept the theory.

The Cross-breeding bit you can accept or not. Auel's novels (3-4 or so) have been highly criticised by the science community, but they ARE interesting. Lots of sex-and-violence, which will, of course, keep this bunch from reading them.....

The Valley of Gwangi
was financed by rev Sun Mung Moon to familiarize american youth about this concept of dinosaurs and people living simultaneously. PBS has also contributed to this with "barney" the purple dino.. everywhere you go it is the same right wing plot.

Not to say that being foolish should be made illegal. These people should remain free to express their ignorance.
