Help with power supply for foam cutting
I've got a power supply from a computer that I think should work pretty well as a power supply for a foam cutter. It will put out 4A at 12V. I've got some NiChrome wire I want to use as the element. I don't know the diameter of the wire, but it has a resistance of about 7 Ohms per foot. Can anyone out there suggest an appropriate sized rheostat so I can control the heat of the wire?
