Wow, that thing looked fast. Still not sure if I am using this program correctly, but here is a doppler on it. Very cool plane, I need to get one.

Do I read that correctly? 184.4 kph? That's 110.64 mph. Mine, with a LSJS motor with 4S battery and only weighing 17.68oz was dopplered at only 75mph. I deffinately need to get better video of mine because after seeing your video I know mine is going faster than 75.
For yhose of you who may have missed it, here it is again.

That doppler speed is right for that sample he took. But it is not a true sample of pure level speed as that speed was one of the passes coming out of a dive. You can see the dip in the doppler shape. I took about 10 samples on that flight and level passes were right about 100mph with speeds out of dives in the 110+ range. Lots of fun. I can only imagine what 4S would do!

I agree RCA. I have no doubt that Don's plane was going 100+, but watching his video and your's back to back, your's looks just as fast

Flew it on 4S over the weekend. That really lit it up. approx 400 watts, used a 4.1 x 4.1 APC prop. Doppler was around 108-111mph on level passes and out of a dive was in the 115-117mph range. Fun to fly but the extra watts (from 260 to 390) only boosted flight speed about 10 mph but that is way it works. Power a function of velocity^3

On the 4 cell I was quite nose heavy, plus had the datalogger in there. Did not seem to matter much really, just a few clicks of up 100+ will take care of it

Sapac T45 Foamy

Don I flew my Sapac T45 foamy today with your 4800 Kv motor. It taxed perfect and at about 100' it lifted off smooth as can be. I was running a TP 2200 4s and got 4.25 minutes but it had tons of power. Another great setup!

Is mounting an outrunner on the Lynx fairly straight forward?
