Same settings except overcurrent protection if you run same motor and prop with 5 cells.
Overcurrent goes to insensetive (150 amps) |

anyone know how to disable the BEC? or do i just cut the red wire? i am running the seperate 10A castle BEC....

Instructions say to cut wire if you're not powering with the ESC BEC

DO NOT cut that wire !!!!!!!
Use a small extension and remove the extensions power lead from eithor one of the 2 plugs. You will need that red wire to use Castle Link I just remove the red wire from the lead on Castle Connect going into the receiver. This way everything works fine and dandy without any fuss |

I haven't hooked up my castle link yet, but can't you just connect LiPo to ESC if you cut/disconnect the BEC wire? (that's what the docs say - hope it's right).

There is also one more option.
You can run an OPTO Isolator such as the Medusa unit which has worked fine for me. It can be run instead of an extension.......and no need for cutting or removing of the Red wire. Extension will be cheaper than OPTO Isolator. There are other brands as well. Gryphon |

Can anybody give me some numbers for esc settings. I have brake at 100% hard, switching at 12khz, timing at normal, cutoff voltage at auto lipo 3.2, current limiting at normal 150, fixed endpoints and I calibrated the throttle.
I ran it up on the bench and it squeeled a little at 3/4 throttle, didn't go any further. Thinking maybe I need to increase the timing? Also need number of poles...couldn't find it on the website. Running 6 cells. Thanks, Brad |

Just cranked the prop on a little harder. Ran it again with switching at 16khz. Better... no squeeling but didn't go to full throttle. Family is complaining about the noise. This thing SCREAMS!!!
