Does anyone have a TL-42 core set that they want to get rid of? Chris is not cutting anymore right now.

Which Microdan is that?

I know I've heard you talk about an IYF 30 that you had running fast, but didn't know it was that extreme.
Sorry man, missed your reply.

It flew on the 4800kV velocity, and the 2800kV (and 2900!) speed winds.

Flew fine on the BIG pack and velocity (and speed wind for uber flight times!), but was honestly more fun with the 2900kV and 3S 1800, still pretty spritely!

Its this one, and yup twas my favourite ritewing I think

Ritewing IYF30 on crack (3 min 28 sec)

I doplard it about 120 odd mph with the 2900 wind, but damn it looks slow to me now!

It did 130-something mph on radar with the velocity (which I never got working right, timing issues)

Been playing with 36" pylon racers with 2.2kW, knocking on 200mph recently )

It was fun, No where near as effective as I thought it would be though, not enough moment. Motor needed to be further aft. Its a LTG36 btw, was VERY quiet with the prop so far away from the TE.

I took the verts off it eventually, and ran the TV on the gyro, that was pretty cool (until you dropped the throttle )

^ Yup 6x4 sport on the 2800/2900's, 4.1x4.1 on the velocity. Vids the 6x4 (aint no VTO with a 4.1x4.1 )

They make HV High Voltage servos that will take 7.4 volts. I have used them on other planes, but not a RW yet. Hitec and Hyperion are the two I have either used or considered. As for the RX, many of the newer 2.4 stuff will handle up to like 9volts.

Receivers will handle just about any voltage up to 14V.

6.6V 2S LiFe (A123 cells) receiver packs can plug straight into the receiver and servos that are rated for 6V (most are)

7.2V 2S LiPo packs must use a BEC between them and the receiver for the sake of servos that are rated to a 6V maximum.

Plugging a 2S LiPo receiver pack to standard 6V servos would be bad news!

Hey guys I will be developing a new high performance and combat line using the new killer foam, they will all be molded soon.
This is the New Zeph II done in the new foam.
Whats crazy is its stiffer and lighter than EPP.

Do this with EPP ,lol ya rite!

High perf line sounds uber interesting to me!!

Hopefully by the time I have some money saved up the kits will be in full swing and most of the wrinkles will have been worked out!

If one were to attempt glassing the new foam, what glue would work?

Yes eventually Hance.
The new foam needs no weave , its tough and stiffer than epp.
You can spar it and lam it then fly.
EPP is so whimpy that it needs glass and glue just to hold ist shape, this foam lammed its crazy strong.

and how do I acquire this new foam

I assume you mix a batch in a bucket then pour it in an expando-mold thing right?

Awesome put me down for one of the first batch of Demons to come out of the new foam. My Demon looks fine and its straight as far as I can tell but the trim changes drastically with speed since I piled it up. I am guessing that it has a busted spar someplace. It might be fixable but I don't know that I would ever really trust it at high speed after being beat up and repaired.
