CK,

I too was at Joe Nall, it was good seeing you there.

I didn't hear anyone mention Radio lock outs but I totally take your word for it.
I remember a black T28 flying faster than most/all.

I do believe that XPS radio systems is most likely better than Spektrum.

I don't trust ANY of the Spektrum receivers below AR7000.
At that event I bought a spare AR7000 for $80.

we have had weeks of rain here recently. actually flooded and cut all the roads for a few days.

but today was clear as. beautiful still afternoon. nothing like flying a massive wing in zero wind conditions.

after a few weeks of horrible weather this arvo's fly put a massive smile on my face. doing big fast circuits 4ft above the ocean 500ft out is medicine

had to share the good times

I call BS on this one, sorry. Add 1 or 2 more zero's and it will gain some credibility.

How do you know it was even radio failure. With 100 T-28's flying there is bound to just be some mechanical and other failures surely. I have no problems with spektrum and have never had one glitch at all. Remember that it looks like spektrum have more problems because they are dominating the market. Hmm I wonder why that is

Fly what you want guys,I had dsm myself ,then I had a few failures at some big events.
Once the plane was heading towards some people and it came back in controll at the last second.
I was able to save it, then go clean my undies.

That was the last time,I sold the radio at the event.

I have never had an issue since.

There were tons of dsm issues at seff this last event.

170.6!

Awesome day for flying, very clear sky's. Last year had her up to 165, broke my old record with 170.1mph today, and still flying! This on 6S, a 28/56/1900 roket and a 6x5 Electric Flight Prop - Carbonfiber. I smoked my old mega motor, as a few said I would. Too long on the throttle button Chris built this wing, and it is rock solid.

Markus,
Very cool on the speed shot.

Was that level flight or from a dive?
Did you happen to get another pass in the opposite direction to cancel out tailwind?

Tell me more about the prop you are using. I am just about to finish up my rocket powered 6s demon. Carbonfiber sounds better than a plain ole APC which has to be getting close to the limits of rpm it can take.

In a dive, trying to get her up as fast as I could! Next time out I will get both passes on the gun in the level and see what we can get.

I ordered a 4S so I can try 7S next time.

I'm sure I will kill the motor, but maybe not.......

Ideas on the best and fastest 7S motor? , shoot me a PM.
