Here's my latest dragster!

It's a thinner version of a Demon V2 that CK cut for me

The batteries and motor are stand-ins. I have 7S 4000 45C in the mail for it, and a Mega 16/40 "E" motor to run. Power should not be a problem

It uses the four fiberglass rebar rods that CK is including now. Glued in right flush with the surface of the wing, one on top, one on bottom, directly opposite of each other.

I'm using the new build trick of a coro wall to separate the battery and ESC bays to gain a little more room and preserve strength, since there's not much left of the wing root! The top of the Coro wall is 2mm below the surface of the wing to allow the hatch cover to fit on top of it.

I have the motor mount plate sitting right on top of the main spar, which is in the rear spar hole of the cores. Look right?? It seems like I still have a lot of room behind the motor plate.

Lid installation, motor mount install, and servo burying are up next. I'll be running buried flexy pushrods (at least till I have to rip it open to fix something. Then I'll likely just leave the rods exposed )

We'll see if I can have any fun with this one.
And not crash it into a brick building!

No Tape II (3 DVD Set)

I have been working on getting the 3 disk build/flight video completed for the Ritewing No Tape II disk set, I have disk 1 and 2 completed but ran into menu problems on the 3rd disk (flight videos)

I will have to rencode about 80 gigs of AVI video and recompile the menus (could take a few days) but once that is complete we will be ready to get them up for sale..

Check back in the ritewing vender section later for more information on this DVD set..

Thanks Hawks for motivating me to get this finnished It really has been way too long...

were looking at close to 6 hours of video cunstruction methods on disk 1 and 2 and about 1.5 hours of flight videos that have been scraped from the web that show off what the riteeings can do it should be a fun dvd.. many of you have seen a lot of these videos already but the playback on a tv looks so much nicer than that of the computer screen..

Hit me up in PM's if your intrested in a set i will let you know pricing there..

Thanks

Chris,
You place this order yet? I have a couple of RW's (TL50 and Demon 40)that have been sitting on the shelf for a couple of years that I am pretty close to working on. I have been through most of this thread trying to get a handle on power systems and will most likely go with another MEGA, I have a 16-15-4 in my funjet running 3-4s getting 120mph on 4s. I will be doing the TL50 first and am looking for about 120-150mph. Suggestions?

Thanks for any help,

Thomas

The tl50 has a sweet spot of 120 to 130 much more and they start misbehaving

A 16/15/4 on 4s with a 6x4 apc sport prop will give you that 120 no problems..

The 40 with the same setup will get you into teh 130 135 range... I run 2 - 2s 5000 yellow jacket packs in my tl50 and love every minute...

That is what I was looking for. Where do we get the Mega motors from nowadays? I will be looking at the Turnigy Nano Tech batteries most likely these:

Anyone used them?

Thanks again,

Thomas
