You are Rite......as usual.........Those 109's are touchy, I guess that's why they don't sell them anymore. I often will charge 2s 3700 packs, two to a charger for six packs charging at the same time. As everyone knows, they go off like dominos........One cell torches, they all torch!! I will really take your advice and work on an outside station that is safe

Cookin's the easy part......washing up that pan is going to be a bear!!

It is nice to be able to joke about it since the damage was minimal. I will change my act. I hope these posts and images save even one person an accident!!

TL40 maiden flight

Oooooooooooooh Yaaaaaaaaaaaa Finally got to fly the 40. Setup is ARC 2-turn with 6x5.5, Phx 45 and 3s2p 4200. First launch...sucked, dorked into ground. Well, now she is officially "broke-in". Next try... yes, airborne but a little squirly(spellcheck is broke). Bring it in to tweak, ok, you can slow down now...doesn't want to land. A little fine tuning, a couple of Kliques and its Rite. HOLY GUACAMOLE(I told you my spell check doesn't work, or is it me) This is now the fasted, best flying plane/wing/ufo I have ever flown.
Absolutely awsome and on rails, low speed pass at myself("dude, don't do that"), definitely have to stay on top of it. I'm totally impressed.
Also flew my 50 on 4s with 4-turn and 6x4 sport prop and it is an awsome flyer on that setup but the 40 on 3s is awsome. All I need now is brown to drop off my Demon.

Any lipo from 2s 300-900mah or whatever you got really. The smaller ones are easier to fit and a 300 pack will last many flights without a charge. I check/charge the pack every 3-5 flights and its usually only halfway depleted.

You can also use a 3s pack but there is really no need unless you are running a light system or something where voltage sag is more.

What is done to put the designs on the covering on these wings. Do you put one basic color covering on the wing and then overlay with self adhesive trim strips cut to shape ? Do the entire design out of shrink covering ? Do the design using shrink covering on a piece of plate glass then transfer to the wing ? Or what, how ?

I lay down the base color then cut the desings out from monocote/ultracote and then heat seal it to the base color.. the self adhisive stuff is ok but is heavery thicker and more of a pain to work with if you have to play with positioning.

Mine is different colors of monokote ironed on. I need to make a landing skid from 2mm coro as the covering got a little scuffed up from hot landings.

Yup, like Paul said. Cover completely in a solid and then lay the accent on top.

I use the self adhesive stuff for racing stripes but not for any major detailing.
