Question
problems with trex 450 after crash

Last week I tried to do a loop with my throttle up switch in normal mode (did not mean to) and it dropped about 60 foot out of the air on to its side. I replaced every thing on it that was broke but the first time I took it out normal mode was fine, idle up 1 was fine, but idle up 2 was not changeing anything its like it was still in idle up 1. I straped the heli down and ran the motor up. I went into idle up 1 changed the throttle curve from 100 70 100 to 100 90 100 and there was no change. it was like the motor would not go over 70% throttle. Also when I fliped the throttle hold switch it would idle down but the rotors was still spinning slightly. I went into the house and reprogramed the esc and now it seems fine but I dont want to fly it untill I get some feedback on this. Can the esc lose its programing in a crash? do you think it just lost the full throttle position? or can it be something other than the esc? I have the align 35a esc

If the heli is powered up with high/max throttle it will go into programming mode. To my knowledge once you get into programming mode you either program it or it goes to defaults (a few reports on the web supports this).

If you powered the copter on in ilde up mode you'd be at full throttle. As part of your preflight always set/reset all switches/knobs/levers before powering up your bird.

what kind of TX do you have? make sure when you set your throttle hold/cut position make sure its below 0%. If its not your rotors will still spin and its not cutting the throttle.

it was like full throttle on the tx was only 70% on the bird and full down on the tx throttle was -30% on the bird. it seemed that the esc was out of phase or something.
