A Goldmine of Motor Test Data from Dr Kiwi

Dr. Kiwi has run many many tests on motors and props. I was trying to think of someway to get a handle on all of it and happened to look under his profile.
By looking at "Threads Started by Dr Kiwi" under his profile, many of these tests pop up.

Impressive amount of work, wouldn't you agree?

What I'd like to do is make a list of all the motors he has tested ranked in order of maximum thrust with a 3s lipo. If I make any headway, I'll post the info.

Thanks Phil

Good idea. I have been trying to list all the prop information, RPM vs. thrust vs. size vs. manufacture. Once I get it completed I will post it.

Dr Kiwi was kind enough to send me the data he has collected in spread sheet format. This data can be sorted by a number of parameters to zero in on the motors that meet your criteria. I think there are close to 5000 entries!

As I said in the heading, this is a goldmine of motor information.
Thanks again Phil,
hoppy

It's been sent - just remember that entries with "pusher" in the Notes column are the most recent and IMHO most accurate. Some of the earlier stuff is good for amps/rpm, but thrust numbers will tend to be lower than they should be.

I went to GoBrushless and used their calculator to obtain prop information and put it in a spreadsheet. The data for the calculator was provided by MorrisM and Dr. Kiwi. Many thnaks for the effort it took to create the data!!!

Next step is to post it here but spreadsheet files (.xls) are invailid for posting. I will have to see what is the best way to convert the data to a vaild file I can post. Any ideas appreciated.

Prop Data

I have attached a Word document that has prop information. This data is not mine but came from others, Dr. Kiwi, Morris and GoBrushless (http://www.gobrushless.com/testing/t...Calculate+Now).

Many thanks for making this data available!!!

I hope this helps others when selecting props.
