I did it as a micro sloper w micro layer of goop for hinges.
The crazy thing flys all the way across the park w a great glide and stability. If I do an electrick it will ave around 1.5 inches longer on the nose to counter the motor weight. AUW is 7 oz w 3 carbon strips RTF. Ck |

It started way back with the romulan bird of prey.
Then the x bow then the bop of justin from edge rc . It flew ok but def had issues of durability Imho. I will take it farther ,after What I have learned flying a bop and what I learned w the sky vak r n d.I will try a few more ideas, W the planform to make it way better. And way more cool to boot. A perfect light JGF clone for this might be this motor from Don:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...77&postcount=1 Would 29 grams be lite enough and can your design handle the weight of a 1000-1300 3s 15c-20c bat? For the FS? 95mph would be pretty quick on this size wing. Dave |

I can widen the fuse abit so we can slide the motor a litte foward by sliding the wings back so the te of the wing hangs 2 ' past the fuse, plus make the fuse wide enough so a 4.7 4.7 prop can fit in the gap w no issues.
The lines on the fuse is where I cut some strip carbon and slit the wing w a razor and CA'ed the carbon in. That carbon works great, and ads tons of strength too. Do ya understand the words comin outa my mouth? We Candoit!ck |
