Post your Blade CX Radio Set-Up

Hi! Everybody,

There a lot of of Multi-Rotor pilots out there with Fancy radio's. Me included!

Everybody has a good set-up.. JR, Hitec, Futaba, Etc.

Let all get together here and show and tell.

Lets start a radio set-up thread, for people having problems with there radio...

This is a great Hobby, lets help others enjoy even more...

Great idea, Joe! I'm using the DX7 to fly my CX2. I have expos set to 30 on ail and elev, and linear on throttle and rudder. I also went to 120% servo throw on ail and elev. The expos seem to tame the extra throw nicely. I still fly with both servos on the first hole. I'd play around, but I've got the swash perfect, and don't feel like messing it up and starting from scratch! I need no trim for pitch or roll, but of course I still have to bump the trim around for yaw.

This is the set-up I use on my Optic 6 w/Spectra module.
I use for the Eflite BCX 4n1 controller.

ch 1 = swash servo 1 ( ail - left/right side motion )
ch 2 = swash servo 2 ( elv - forward/reverse motion )
ch 3 = throttle
ch 4 = Gyro Yaw ( rudder )


Mode 2, PPM, Heli Mode, Swash = Normal,

channels 1 and 2 are reversed

subtrim - ch 1 = (-30)
ch 2 = +55
ch 3 = (-20)
ch 4 = 0

expo - ch 1 = 0
ch 2 = 0
ch 3 = 0

dual rate - ch 1 = 125
ch 2 = 125
ch 4 = 100

end point - ch 1 - rd =125 lu = 100
ch 2 - rd =125 lu = 100
ch 4 = 100

These are pretty good starting points. Before you do the settings for your Optic 6 you should adjust the swashplate so that it is level and the servo horns are at a 90 degree angle to the servo.

I like the ch 3 subtrim in the negative value, this puts the throttle stick up a little higher. As the battery wears down, the natural tendency is to add more throttle, by starting out with the stick higher you will reduce the chance of over amping the 4n1. Its mental, you know your are nearing the end of the stick throw so you are likely to be a bit more aware of running out of battery.
