Is that the same manufacturer? Can you comment on the charger?
Yes, that is the same charger/manufacturer. It is a very good charger/balancer up to 5S. Hooobby is a China based web vendor so their pricing is cheaper than US retail but more expensive on the shipping side. Once arclite5 and a few others finish their evaluations of the unit, we will offer it from within the USA with a 12 month manufacturer's warranty.

Scott

Charger is very good. Charges a lot of different stuff very well.. I'm using it for my Nitro setup and my mini electric stuff.

So far, so good.

How much for the charger? Does it do A123? At only 50W, 4S would be only 3A max probably. 3S maybe 4A?

USA pricing is not set yet, but it will probably be in the high 70's/low 80's. We have not tested A123 so I cannot comment on that just yet.

Scott

OK, back on topic. Here is a preview of the new RCT-450 boom clamp system we are working on that will get rid of the mounting nuts (making the boom area look more uniform), offer a better physical clamping solution, and incorporate both top and bottom gyro mounting platforms (matching the frame material).

Regards,
Scott

Looks much nicer than a plexi solution. Please sign me up for those parts when they become available...

Is there a slot and key system in the block to stop the boom rotating?.

No; this new dual clamping design does not need it. The boom stays very secure.

AAAArrrrgggh. where did that damn video go?. I'm over on a different site spruking off about this Heli, and now I can't find the damn video.
I reckon I should get a commission or something. I reckon I sold three more as well as mine.

I'm guessing you're looking for Kyle's low altitude aerobatics video. Here you go:

Scott, is there documentation (even pre-release) or even just an exploded parts view so that I have a reference when I'm putting things back together?

Also, it was easiest to slide the tail drive block out through the tail like you suggested. It was an easy fix but the mesh is only about 90%. The tail drive gear seems to be 1mm too high than the main gear..
