3 meter sailplane

Where can I get a 3 meter electric sailplane or a 3 meter sailplane for hi-start? I would prefer a ARF but would settle for a kit. I do not get in here very often and would appreciate if you would send info to my email address.

Do you have a budget in mind? These planes can run from $100 to $2000!

Skip Miller Models:

WWW.towerhobbies.com has the Bird of Time, and a few others.

www.polecataero.com has the Thermal Dancer. I have one and I love it!

Most of the 3M electric gliders I have seen are electric conversions of hi-start/winch launched pure gliders. Electric Gliders are much more common in the 2M size.

Discussion - 3 meter sailplane

A lot of good choices have been listed. You mentioned, “… sailplane for hi-start”. I have such for sale - a RTF Trio - http://www.isthmusmodels.com/popup_image.php?pID=105 - like the picture but all blue. I bought it used RTF. I have not flown it and not sure it ever was. I am looking for $650 and that includes servos, pig tail, battery and nose weight (I bought a plane I thought was RTF and the seller removed the nose weight ) - shipping negotiable. Digital servos in the fuse - suspect same in wing. Definitely like new.

There has been much discussion about the BOT - I picked one up ready to fly for $150 with a few hours on it. I use NSP 100' 7/16" neoprene with 400' of line and fly in breezes up to abt 15 mph- no problems in a bit over a year of casual flying - AUW is 60 oz. Great thermal ship, good penetration, need pay attention on turns - no washout = less drag, longer glide and a real stall! a lot of plane for the price. I fly an Art Hobby Poly the rest of the time. The BOT comes real close to flying like a full size plane - just as smooth as the pilot can manage!
