Here's some specs on the micro if its the same as yours?
On the bell motor, there's some test results posted by users here:
Looks like the 8x4 would do it on the bell, but would be pushing the micro with 3S.

I powered mine with a 2200kv motor spinning a 6X4 Prop (tried 6 X 5.5 prop, esc went up in a big puff of smoke) connected to a 30 amp ecs and a 2200 3 cell lipo. It flies fast, rolls fast and lands a little fast. With it a little on chunky side weighing close to 1 1/2 pounds the Cutlass handle some strong winds . I had to paint the wing tips red. A Grey plane with Grey skies makes interesting flying.

My moter looks like 1300 Bell. But can not tell about the 1800 , which is an
AX 2308N Micro motor.
In the hobby king www. site they look the same. NOTHING PRINTED ON THEM

FOR MY CUTLASS [40 in.] Build.-- our of 3/4 in. Blue foam. ??? Wonder how heavy and how much drag with that 3/4 in. stuff???
This is what www.headsuprc.com suggested for the above. I sent him pictures, etc.
POWERUP 400 Zoom Motor
HURC 40A ESC
EMP 6X4E prop
11.1v 2200 30C battery
Will give very nice speed and about 29 oz. of thrust
3536 - 16 motor
Emax 50A Budget ESC
APC 8x6E prop. if you have room
11.1v 2200 40C Lipo battery
This will give you about 45 oz of thrust,

I just wanted to thank you for this wonderfull scratch plane !
It flies very well, slow passes and high manoeuvrability with a good top-speed with my setup !
I've made few mods (smaller elevons, "depron" foam --> EPP airframe was too much soft with my 1st version)
AUW : 205 gr
Motor : Turnigy 3020 1800kv
ESC : 30 A
Lipo : 3S 1100mA 35C
Prop : 6x4 E
Servo's : 2x 5gr Hextronik
Cheers from France !

Couple more versions of the Cutlass. The little weeny one is made from $ store foam. It's 18 in. wingspan and weighs 1.8 oz. WO batt. Batt. is 3 cell 360 ma. Radio is the HK 4 channel orange rcvr with 1.7 gram servos. Motor is a Turnigy 5 gram turning a 5-3 prop. Flies like charm but to quick for indoors. Bigger one is unfinished (started about 10 yrs ago)33 in. WS with a 70mm ducted fan. Made from blue foam, all cut with a hot wire. Fuse. was cut in three sections. Wing is covered with Doculam, a stickyback plastic film. It has 1/4 in. balsa spars. Must finish it someday.
